Solar prewired?

We have a 2018 Eagle HT 285RSTS. I have seen several posts about the wires behind the decal on wall above control panel. I have seen one say it's two looped wires and one say ground is looped but that there is 2 red wires capped off. Just wondering if there is a way to tell without cutting wall. If they are looped I will install solar charge controller down there closer to batteries. TIA

My 291rsts Eagle wiring was looped, I really like it installed near the control panel, I check on the numbers regularly.

My 2020 HT has the red wires cut and capped, black is continuous. On my unit there is an outlet in the bathroom that can be removed and allows visibility of the solar wires.

Thanks very much. Were the wires already connected at the battery end?

No.. the wires in the battery compartment are also dead ended and capped, which is a wise thing.

Will have to look where my battery disconnect is because I only have the two wires in my battery area. Thanks again.

You can check the roof connection with a volt meter, if you have voltage, they run continuously to the battery.

I just finished installing the GoPower system on my 317RLOK. The wires were behind where the decal was located and the red were cut, 1 labeled +. The black was looped. The red + was connected to the battery as was one side of the black. I cut the black and checked each end with a voltmeter. I installed the controller at the spot indicated on the wall. The 8 gauge wires are a bit stiff to get into the controller, takes a little work and patience. I did not shorten the wires at all. Put all of the wire back into the wall and screwed controller to wall. Went up to roof, installed 1 100 watt panel (only trying to keep batteries topped off during storage). Sealed mounting brackets with Dicor. Plugged wires from panel into outlet on roof. Went back inside and set controller to battery type and hit boost charge. My batteries were a bit low and it took a couple days for them to be fully charged. I also used the controller that has bluetooth control. Now I can just drive by my camper in storage, open the app, and see the battery condition. The app also gives you an amphour totalizing meter on how many amphours have been put into the battery.
