been discussed here before, probably a failure in the BmPro node. you can swap the wires on the node and see if will work in reverse.

Try a search on here.

Until you get the wiring changes, you could use a cordless drill on the motor to extend it.

Regarding the wires mentioned:
I presume you have two awnings and for example, the problem you describe is with Awning #1 because Awning #2 works fine. If you look at the Command Node (it's a big box in the basement with loads of wires attached) you'll see each wire is labeled. Looking at the upper left corner, you'll see two wires for Awning 1 and two wires for Awning 2.
What I did was to switch the wires. This didn't fix my problem, it only moved the problem to the other awning. I switched them, moved the awning and switched the wires back to move the other.
I am not a qualified technician, but for me, this solved my immediate problem because it takes forever to move the awning using a power drill... plus standing on the picnic table to reach it was not always possible.
Then after a week of doing this, it was too much trouble as well so I got a double-pole, double-throw switch and now I can simply flip the switch to swap the wiring.
Ultimately, the proper repair is to replace the Command Node (est. $900) at the dealer (more $$). Maybe this summer... but until then, the switch works.

I am new to this forum are there other problems BmPro node I should watch for? I think there must be more issues coming after 3 years.
