space saver upgrade

In our 30.5 CKTS, i was looking for the solar prep cable to see size awg and found there is a false panel covering the wiring to the light switches and solar prep wires in the cabinet space above the closet in kitchen. Instead of going through the studs, they took a short cut around the studs, thus needing a false panel. I was able to drill out the studs and reroute the wires. I used the same back panel to fill in opening on the side wall. Attached are pics of work.

There's lazy and then there's LAZY. Would cost more to put in false wall.

I was thinking the same about material. Must be from prefab wall construction and labor hrs.

Wow. That was a lot of wasted space you gained there. Nice job.

It's a great feeling when your own common sense can improve/upgrade/fix your TT
