Speaker Brand?

We have a 2015 Eagle 33.5 RKTS and one of the overhead speakers is crackling. I want to have the dealer get me a new one but I'm not sure the brand/Model and don't trust they will get the right one. The ones installed sound good so I don't want them just getting any cheep on that is the same size it doesn't sound as good. It's in the living room ceiling so I'm trying to avoid a ladder and taking it out twice. Thanks for any info.

I think the ceiling speakers are coaxial (two-way) speakers. I'm not sure which brand they are, but I'm not too confident that your buying any aftermarket brand will match others in your rig. The speakers we have in our rig are white, so trying to find an exact match one would be difficult. I'd say let the dealer replace it with one from Jayco, until the warranty period is done. Then, replace all of them with better quality speakers. Just my two cents.

I think I'd go with a good aftermarket directional speaker. Pyle, Bose, Jensen, etc.

I believe I have a Jensen receiver in my unit by the way. I'm sure the speakers coordinate. Not sure though...

If they are 5˝" round, then they may be Magnadyne #LS515W (OEM manufacture). Just replaced/upgraded the door speakers in our 2015 Greyhawk, now going to replace/upgrade the 4 coach speakers in the ceiling. Pulled one to see size/make/model. I would think Jayco would use the same components in most RVs.

Thanks for the replying

I'm an audio nut so although I know some high end aftermarket ones are probably better it's only one that has an issue and they actually sound pretty good so I don't want to replace all 6 to have a match set. That's why I was looking for the correct OEM model number to keep my dealer honest and make sure they don't just grab any junk they have on the shelf. My head unit is a Jenson as well.

Just picked up our unit Friday and one of the bedroom speakers crackle. Definately need it replaced. IM just glad it wasn't one of the outside ones or in the living area as we don't have time to get it looked at now.
