Special RV Site!!

One thing that has always been on my "bucket list" is, to be up on a mountain somewhere overlooking a deep lush valley, setting on the patio under the awnings. It doesn't particularly matter where it is. But, I want to grill steaks-n- 'taters and sip on Asti or Sangria while savoring God's unbelievable creation!

Does such a spot exist and where?

Mine is in the mountains, not on top, but out in the middle of nowhere looking over Greenbriar River in WV..Use to fish the river as a kid, young man and a Dad..Now we own a piece of land with electric, septic and water. It's beautiful. Can raft, fish or swim, or just set back and take in all the beauty of the surrounding mountains, the river and the animals that roam through. We're retiring 1 August, and we'll park our camper there from March through early November, then head west or south for winter..

Yeah, they exist, and we got our little piece of one.

There is a CG just like that called "Mile High Campground" . Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Maggie Valley, NC. Hot showers but no electricity.

Jim,

Sounds like you have that perfect spot! Here in northern Indiana, it's mostly flat with corn and soybean fields as far as the eye can see. So, mountainous terrain with scenic views are welcome sights from time to time.

norty1,

I will need to look closer at that campground. The wife and I have been in the Smoky's a couple times. The last was nearly six years ago. Need to plan another trip down into that area.

Thanks for the ideas, Fella's!

Arizona is another place on my bucket list, too! Is this a view from a camp site?

It's about 30 feet from a few sites - boondocking sites in the forest. I have been there, but not camped. My buddy brings his fifth-wheel.

RV Park Hunter These are all RV Parks so if you find what your looking for I'm sure you'll have plenty of company. Nice, but very limited number of campgrounds. Try the National Park Service also. At least in Indiana you don't have to go far to buy factory direct!

mothernaturesson, you are absolutely correct! We did buy our Pinnacle from a factory direct dealer. The county in which we live, is called the RV capital of the world! Brand new RV'S constantly moving up and down and back and forth all of the US and State highways. A never ending parade of all brands and types!
