Angry Squeaky Stairs

The stairs leading to the bedroom are squeaking like you would not believe!! I'm sure everyone has or had the same problem. Any fixes?

Ear plugs ?

On a more serious note can you find an access to get under the stairs ? Sometimes a few shims and a bit of glue is all you need

Thanks homer1959, there is a wooden grate between the first step and second step that unscrews. I'll take a look and see if I can come up with a remedy.

I have had the same problem with my 2018 Pinnacle....but it seems to depend a lot on the weather.....lots of rain and high humidity and more squeaking....no rain and low humidity basically no squeaking...i think the squeak is where the step rubs against the cabinet on the left side.....bottom step .....have tried to use baby powder and even attempted to widen the gap with a Japanese flat saw ....helped but did not solve 100%....I think the step needs to be removed and cut off 1/8 inch....just have not attempted that yet...maybe in the spring....

You can access the bottom of the steps by removing the gray fabric covered walls panels in the basement. They are held in place with screws. Be careful not to mess with the wires under there. There is a LOT going on under there

I'm thinking of thing felt strips placed between where the steps touch the walls and where there is any wood to wood contact. Will investigate further and report back if I try that.

Squeaky Stairs

I had the same problem with my 2017 Jayco Eagle HT 28.5 rsts. I took it back to the dealer and they fixed it.
