Standing water on top of kitchen slide.

Brought the "new to us" 2013 351MKTS home. Great looking RV, but I have a problem. I pulled the slides in because of the rain coming the next couple days and I had water standing on the kitchen slide. When we camp, it usually rains. So packing up after a rain storm is a usual thing. But if the rain doesn't drain off of the slide, it will soak the inside of the RV when I put the brakes on, when towing home after a camping weekend. Does anyone else have this issue? Any "tricks of the trade"?? I never had this issue with my 34 ft Challenger FW. I'm thinking of buying a ladder to take with me and dry the top of the slide everytime I pack up to head home. Any Advise???

There should be a wiper seal on the top of the slide. I would check to make sure that the seal is in good condition, and that there are no tears in it. Easy to replace if its out of warranty.

I was up on a ladder looking at the seals last night. The seals didn't look too bad. the roof line is not flat. Is there a way to push the center of the roof up a little from the inside?

If seal is good then it looks like either a ladder/blower taking the water off or as we broke down and did was slide awnings.

My .02 cents would be to install a slide awning and be done with it once and for all!!! No ladder to buy and store, no broom needed and nothing to check. Now when your ready to leave just press the slide switch and your on your way to the next " what's around the bend location".

Our trailer only has one slide. Before bringing the slide in, I climb up on the roof with a small broom in hand and sweep off any leaves, dirt, or water from the roof of the slide.

The wiper certainly works, but I think the broom works better.

Slide awning, what RVhiker mentioned, or, before you pull slides in, raise or lower the front landing gear to let most of the water run off.
