Step light on 2018 Eagle HT 25.5 REOK

On our 1st trip with the new 5th wheel we noticed a blue light under the steps but it only comes on when the awning light is on. Is that correct? I like having a step light but it seems to me you wouldn't need it when the awning lights are on. The awning lights are very bright. The blue step light should have it's own switch.

Apparently it now has a separate switch on some of the 2019 models.

Some have added a separate switch themselves. Another modification is a dimmer on the awning strip.

Yes a dimmer on the awning strip would be nice.

If you type "awning dimmer" in the advanced search feature you will find a half dozen threads on dimmers for the awning LED strip.

Ours came with it’s own switch. It’s outside next to the steps.

2019 25.5 REOK owner here.....apparently there are not too many of us here on the forum. We love ours perfect size for the two of us. Perhaps we should start a 25.5 REOK owners thread?


And yes our 2019 has an outside on off switch. I like the the light. We keep it on all night if we are on shore power.
