Storing on blocks

My driveway is getting depressed from the weight of the trailer sitting in the same spot that the wheels sit in water or ice, for the most part, all winter.

What do you say...put blocks of wood under?
Or not necessary.

I don’t have that problem since mine is on concrete instead of asphalt. Seems to me that even with the wood, eventually you’d get the impressions from the boards used...unless maybe you were to use 3/4” full sheets of plywood

I’m not worried about the depressions... I’m wondering if the cold moisture will soak into the tire, that hasn’t moved in 8 months, and start to deteriorate my new Goodyear skins.

Ah, ok. That I’m not sure. I would not think so but if you’re worried, give them a good soaking with some 303 aerospace or go redneck and put the trailer up on cinder blocks [emoji23]

Hahaha.
I guess you just have to worry about the sun cooking your tires.
Do you even bother with tire covers?

No I don’t cover. I apply 303 after each wash and luckily we get to use trailer year round.

I picked up covers this year to keep the weather off them.

Mine is sitting on Lam-beams to keep it out of the dampness and snow.

Might just try some gravel, it drains well, pick some up at the big box stores.

Klassic just bring home a couple of 2 x 6's or 8's and park it on them.

Or hook it up and head south............

We have ours on 2x10s both the front pads and tires. We head out the end of February and we have so many freeze/thaw cycles where we store that I don't have tires and landing pads froze in an inch or two of ice.
