Question Super Lite bed size?

Hi everyone,

I'm curious if the Eagle Super Lite has a "real" queen (60x80), or if it's a short queen (60x75). Any help answering this would be much appreciated!

Matt

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum Matt! While waiting for input from other Super Lite owners here, try giving Jayco a call directly. They should be able give you the sizes for your specific tt

Hello Matt, my 2008 Eagle Super Lite has a short queen. I can see where another Super Lite with a different bed configuration, such as a slide out could have a regular queen but not entirely positive about that. Healthi has the best advice, just call Jayco and they will have all the specs for your model....by the way, welcome to JOF.

Darn.. That was the model I was interested in. Being 6'2" puts a damper on some of the choices available.. I could live with the 6' bedroom height, since I'd mostly be laying down in there anyway, but I can't live with a short queen..

Oh well. Thanks for the info. I did email Jayco directly today, but you all beat them to the punch.

Thanks,
Matt

Good news! I heard back from Jayco, and the newer models of the 31.5 RLTS Super Lite do indeed have a "real" queen bed (60x80 inches). They made it sound like it was a mid-model year change.

Figured I'd follow up in case anyone else was wondering the same thing.

Makes sense. Mine was built in July of this year.

In order to make room for a 60"x80" bed I wonder if they deleted the chest of drawers at the end of the bed? When I slide my "short" queen in the foot of the bed comes right up to the chest of drawers.

I kind of thought that's how it would be with the floor plan layout. How are you liking the 29.5rks so far? We have never been in one yet.

The wife and i really like the layout, She wanted as much counterspace as possible and this has it. We really have not camped yet as it is aproaching winter time here in IA, Our dealer out did themselves on the predelivery and i went over the camper with a fine tooth comb and could not find anything wrong. It also pulls like a dream over our 27.5 TT we had before. We did get the deluxe package with corion counter tops and 8cf fridge and that is well worth the extra $.

Mid Year model change

Jayco did in fact have a mid year model change on the 31.5RLTS. We just took delivery on an early 2012 out of necessity, First of all our early 2012 has the 60X80 bed. They also changed the bedroom cabinets in the front right corner, they took out the TV cabinet mount and the 3 drawers under that cabinet, this upset the wife so much that I had to search far and wide for an early built trailer. I don't know when they made the change but ours was built in August and we just purchased Dec 9th.

Our original plan was to order a new 2012 in early February and take delivery hopefully by mid April. We would have been VERY disappointed if we had waited and took delivery on something that had been changed but not reflected in any of their advertising or even on their Web site.

We ordered our 29.5 at the end of October and picked it up the first part of December and there were changes in the bedroom. Luckily for us they were what we would consider improvements, but I could see how that would be bad if you were expecting one thing and had something else delivered.

Hey guys, while we're talking queen beds, may I side track the conversation with a different query?

Have any of you fine folks upgraded your mattress or added a topper to it for greater comfort? The standard mattress that came with our 28BHS is fine for weekend outings but for the long stays we're planning on doing I'm considering adding some sort of pillow top so I dont feel the coils in my backside!

Being a "short" queen I will likely have to do some shopping around online to find something that will be suitable.

I'd like to hear experiences from the rest of you Jaycophiles.

Matt pull the matress a few inches from the headboard... with your head on a pillow you will not even notice it...

After re-reading the above posts I see that this thread is all with Fivers owners... Which all have better quality mattresses than Jayflight TTs. I will repost my question in the appropriate thread.
