Switch table for booth

I own a 2013 Jayco 365 BDH that came with a table and 4 chairs. It is almost impossible to get into the chairs closest to the slide wall because of the ridiculous table design. I want to remove the table and install a booth that converts to a bed. Is it possible and can I order the parts from Jayco?

If it was offered as a original and the table was an option the booth dinetter may be available. You would still have to go through a dealer for the parts.

As was said it appears it was an option hence the parts would be available but I would be quite positive you could get a local cabinet builder or furniture maker to make it cheaper than the freight alone would cost for the parts and it would be built right

Not sure about your spacing but we had the same problem when our new 33.8RETS was delivered. Small child could not even sit on chair on one side. That being said, the table is held down with wood screws. Can be repositioned with out much problem. If you have slides, just have to make sure of spacing but ours works much better after being moved. We love the dining table and chairs versus the booth setup.

I asked a dealer when we were shopping if the booth could be converted to table & chairs that wasn't technically available on a particular unit. He said he would ask Jayco if they would do it, supposedly they said it would cost an additional $1000 or $1500 (don't remember exactly). I'm quite confident I could build or buy-and-mod something for quite a bit less than that.

You could probably buy the parts pretty easy, but nbhybrid is right, the shipping alone will eat your lunch, along with the cost of installation if you're not going to do it yourself.

As an alternative, how about a hybrid design? Put a booth seat on one side of the table, and have the chairs on the other side? I'm not sure about how your floorplan might accommodate this, but it could be a workable solution...?

Was wondering how you re positioned your table and chairs. Could you possibly attach a picture? I was wanting to do the same to ours but wasn't sure were to re position it to? Did you just pull it out further from the window area?

You could also raise the table an inch or so by putting a 1x or 2x under the base. I've thought about doing the same under our table to give a little more clearance above our legs. It might be a cheaper solution if you don't need the extra sleeping space.

I make a plywood spacer the shape of the table base, stained and poly'd it and used longer screws to install it beneath the table base. It made a big difference when sitting down at the table. Not nearing as easy to bump the table.

hope this works. This picture thing just throws me. but if it came out, we just removed the dinette table ahead to center it in the window. It is on our opposing slide so before attaching, close up and make sure it does clear everything. we actually have to stack the chairs on the opposite side of the table on top of one another to have enough room. I actually invited dealer out to sit at table and have a discussion with me. Since he was actually larger than me, there was no way. He had his crew there in minutes making adjustment. Moving it forward about 6 inches made all the difference in the world and the slides close up nicely.
