Our 2012 Eagle had room for me to walk between. Bought the 2016 Pinnacle and am sure glad I went back to check as I would've hit the tail gate into the storage door. There's hardly ANY room on this camper vs the Eagle. So now my DW stays by the rear of the truck and puts the TG up as I am finishing to back up or pull out. This year I think we will get the V tailgate.

This is interesting. Our '13 has room between the tailgate and front storage with the gate down. We have a Mor-Ryde pin box but I can't say if it's extended or not. I can connect to the 5th at an angle (not an extreme angle) without problems.

I currently have a 2011 Jayco Eagle 321RLTS, and have a more than enough room between the 5th wheel and the tailgate when hitching up, Is there a lot less room with the newer Jayco 5th wheels? I am currently in the process of buying a 2016 North Point 341RLTS. I guess I just assumed that the space would be the same between the tailgate and the 5th wheel. I drive a 2016 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali Crew cab 4x4 with the Duramax.

Does anyone else out there have this truck or something close and one of the 2016 North Points to help clarify this.

I have a 2016 FBTS and a 2017 ford f350 . The tailgate is close and you must hit straight on you can hook up at a angle . It is tight but just have to make a mental note of it and remember to hook straight on .

I installed the Stromberg Carlson 100 V Gate last year. Super easy to install and worth the cost. Left it on all summer and removed it in the fall. I can leave it up while hooking-up with no problems.
