Tank levels

Noticing something odd in my '18 Seismic. I'm full-timing it now (finally) and when I check my Grey 1 tank level, it reads about 2/3rds full...good to go. I can agree to that after a week of showers etc. Problem is, when I press the button for the Grey 2&3 Tank, I'm getting the same reading and there has been absolutely zero water used in the "garage" faucet, shower, or crapper. Any ideas?

It’s very common for these sensors to stop working due to a multitude of possible issues.

I have a 2016 Pinnacle. My tank sensors are useless as well. Black tanks seem the most susceptible in my experience. However, I have also had issues with grey tanks. I have flushed them thoroughly, used special products that are supposed to clean the sensors but all to no avail. I have settled on using my own past experience to know how much I can get out of these tanks. For me, I can generally do 7 days.

I really wish these idiots would give us an option to put in external tank sensors, I don’t know why they haven’t done it

Off topic, but does anyone know if I'll break something, if I crank up the on-board generator while still plugged into shore power? Only looking to exercise the gen so it doesn't gunk up.

I just ran my generator yesterday. I turned the power off at the utility post. Then I turned the generator on. I believe shore power takes precedence over the generator.

I have a 2017 Seismic and my gray 1 tank will read 2/3 full immediately after emptying and will read full after only washing dishes a couple times. I can see the the black tank sensors getting clogged or covered or whatever but, you would think the gray tank sensors would hold up a little better. Basically nothing but soap and water going there.

I have started my generator while plugged in and it swapped to the generator. I have a seismic wave

"Thank you" to all who replied. Now here's a curiosity...emptied my tanks today, low and behold there was quite a bit in my rear grey tank. So I've either got someone coming in and using my rear shower/sink when I'm not here, or one of the other sinks (kitchen?) is going into the rear tank, or it's filling from the front tank for some reason.

Not sure what model seismic you have but my guess is your kitchen sink drains into grey 2, if you only have 2 grey tanks. On my previous rig, I had 3 grey tanks. One for each bathroom sink and shower and one for the kitchen. Easy way to tell is open the grey dump valve and run water through the kitchen sink
