The last 2016 321 RSTS built w/2017 features

I've been a member of the forum for a month and wanted to wait until my 321 came in, before making my first post or thread.

My 2016 was literally the last 2016 321 RSTS to come off the production line. It was delivered to my dealer today and I was surprised that Jayco had incorporated lots of the new "standard" features for the 2017 models, into my 2016.

...High gloss exterior finish on the fiberglass
...New exterior color
...Aluminum entry steps (I think they were steel in 2016)
...Second awning that extends from the living room/dining room slide-out
...Stationary TV antenna (instead of crank-up type)
...Rubber flooring in the cargo hold (I think this was carpet in 2016)
...Sewer drain it tucked up closer to the under-belly (doesn't hang down as far)
...Nitrogen filled tires (if you go with the Maxxis option)
...Nicer finish on the cabinets & trim with more detail
...On-demand tankless water heater
...New interior colors, decor, furniture & lighting
...New vinyl plank flooring
...Time-out bench/coat area is now storage or fold-up the interior shelf and you have an enclosed coat closet
...Pocket door on bathroom (this is a big plus!)
...Monitor port in bedroom - We ordered the wireless rearview camera. You can now plug the monitor into a receptacle in the bedroom and use it for a security camera.

There's probably more than what I've listed but that's what I saw in my brief time looking at it. I'll know more when I pick it up next Wednesday.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new 321! We picked up our new 321 two months ago and love it. I like the colors of both the 2016 and 2017. The biggest thing I'm jealous about is the pocket door for the bathroom. The thing I wouldn't like is the closet that replaces the bench with coat hooks - I use that all the time to take shoes on/off and quick access to jacket.

Enjoy the new camper!

Good lookin coach. Congrats. We picked up our 321 two weeks ago and are goin out over Memorial Day for the first time. I'm with estesbubba....love the pocket door but don't want to give up the bench. I'm on the fence about the tankless water heater.
Welcome to the club and happy camping!

The wife & I went to look at our new 321 and did a pre-pre-delivery inspection.

We found a few very minor problems and one major one (which my wife was quick to find), if we plan to shower.

The factory installed the wrong sliding shower door. It's about 6" too narrow for the opening. If there's one on another unit that will fit, my dealer is going to remove it and install it on our unit. If not, they plan to have one express shipped.

I'm not sure if the shower opening width changed from 2016 to our late production 2016 or they simply picked up the wrong glass panels.

I guess that taking a shower isn't part of the factory's quality control procedure.

Looks like the pocket door on the 2017's bathroom comes with a drawback...

Welcome to JOF. There is lots of good info here. I lived in Lubbock back in the 60's. I still have some friends there.
