We have the Hensley air ride Trailer Saver hitch. Check out You Tube on the Hensley Trailer Saver. It is expensive but planning to keep the FW for may miles & years it will save the wear on appliances and the camper itself. These roads will never improve! It simply is the finest hitch. The MorRyde Orbital will be fine with a short-bed truck. We used to have a GMC 2500 but recently traded for the GMC 3500 to ensure we are not even close to over loading the payload.

Check out the Hensley hitch. While they are pricey, they are worth it. No, I don't work for Hensley.
