Tire Problem

We just noticed that one of our tires has just about worn out but the other three are wearing like they should (we have only put about 6,000 miles on the camper). Has anyone else had this problem? They are Goodyear tires and are not the China bombs. I contacted my dealer and he said that he has a camper in for the same problem and are trying to figure out what is causing it.

It would be nice if you would include information about your unit in your signature line.

How do I do that?

I have all the info posted in my profile. I noticed that a lot of people have their info on their threads but mine doesn't show up. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Sounds like an alignment issue, which could be several items causing it.

I agree with Earl. Sounds like an alignment issue or a bent axle.

An axle alignment issue or a wheel bearing too loose.

What is the wear pattern?

Tire Wear

The tire looks like it has the max miles on it. It doesn't have any scalloping or wearing more on the inside or outside. The rest of the tires are wearing normally for about 6,000 miles. Working on cars years ago if it was an axle both tires on the axle would be wearing. As soon as the rain lets up here in middle tn for a couple of days I will jack up that wheel and check the bearing by turning the wheel and pulling on the top and bottom.

You can have one tire wearing on a straight axle. The axle can be out on just the one side. Or both, depends on where the issue is.
