To Grease or not to Grease
First time 5th Wheel owner. I have a 2016 Eagle HT 29.5 BHDS with the Reese Revolution. Do I need to grease the pin and base of hitch on camper? Seems noisy if its dry.

I have only towed three times but I use the Teflon wear pad that pushes over the pin. I just put a very light coat of grease on the hitch jaw. I have the slider and where the hitch pins in place made a bunch of squeaking noise. A little WD 40 fixed that.

Most definitely!! Either use a teflon pad or grease. Metal on metal needs lubrication of some type.

I use a teflon pad and lightly grease the pin where it contacts the jaws. A little grease on the jaws too. And oil or lithium grease on the moving parts of the hitch.

The revolution pivots at the trailer end of the pin box and not at the hitch, correct?
If that's the case, I'd say no grease at the hitch. The other end? I suspect that Reese would provide guidance on that.
I have a Pullrite, so similar situation, and I spray "Slip Plate" on my hitch head to help the pin box slide on and off the hitch head a bit easier.

You are correct you don't need a Teflon ring on the hitch because it pivots back at the camper. what I found to do is to use white lithium grease on the pin box. If you pivot the pin box each way and spray grease in there it should help keep the noise down and keep things moving properly

I think Reese actually says not to use a Teflon ring with the Revolution.
I am thinking about putting the graphite Slip-Plate No. 1 on the 5th saddle and on the pin box. Since the only real movement should be when hitching and unhitching, I think Slip-Plate might work well, and keep the mess of wet grease down.

the reason I ask is I had a **** of a time getting connected the other day, so I thought maybe some grease on the pin and locks. Not so much on the plate because the pin doesnt move on that

Yeah, Reese says to lube the back of the pin, and the edges of the wedge on the Revolution.
I just want something on the plate, even though there is not turning there, there is still slight movement, and the hitching and unhitching is metal to metal.

This. No other grease is needed. I've found that if things aren't lined up darn near perfect that it can be a bear to get the hitch latched though. Kind of a pain but it gets easier with practice.
