Toilet leak at the bottom seal....finally fixed; Was not the seal but the flange.

Started having problems in the bathroom at the base of the toilet soon after we got the 1997 Eagle 5er. I first checked the supply line for a leak but found none. Next I pulled the toilet off the floor and found a rusted metal plate that someone had used to band-aid fix the floor flange due to it being cracked slightly. Well, I should have fixed it right then but didn't...instead I put a new bottom seal on the toilet and did a rough caulk job to hopefully stop the leak for a while. The leak returned. So this past week/weekend I ordered a new floor flange, bolts, and a new seal. My floor flange was a thread-on type not glued so removal was pretty easy after removing the Aqua Magic. I did go ahead and disconnect the toilet fully from the supply this time (mistake) and it made installing the new flange easy as well. Just a note here...don't use zinc coated screws for anchoring a new flange to the floor...use only stainless. The old screws were so rusty that I was afraid they might twist off and break when removing but I lucked out. After re-installing the Magic, now my supply line leaks! Anybody know how to replace the seal on the hose fitting?
