Toilet water dripping

I have a 2018 northpoint 377 rlbh and my toilet hose that connects is dripping. Is there suppose to be a oring inside there. The connection is tight and I can’t figure out why it is dripping and it is not all of the time just off and on. I have pulled off and felt inside but don’t feel any oring there wondering if there is suppose to be.

Thanks

A photo might help with this one.

I don't know with your particular unit but in most the hose(s) are clamped with a Pex connector and should not pull off. If they are, and it is, that connection needs to be tightened or replaced. It takes a special tool (about $50) but you will probably need it again in the future-if that is the problem.

I'm not sure about an o-ring, but all the connections on our (different model Jayco) have a rubber, cone shaped seal inside. I've had one start leaking after a faucet upgrade, and found the seal deformed.

It screws on? Have you tried some teflon tape?

I would think that this should have an O-ring or cone seal.

You may find a cone seal stuck in one side or the other. A bit of plumbers grease, and careful alignment, helps when attaching the hose to the toilet fitting.

Are you 100% positive that’s where it is leaking? Mine leaked last year and it was actually the flush valve that the line screws into. Water dripping down the connection made it seems as though it was leaking there when it was actually the small crack in the valve. Common problem, $20 cost, and an easy fix if it’s indeed the flush valve.

Look inside the black piece that screws into the toilet. You should see a cone washer in there. Sometimes these cone washers get mangled by the installer and don't function properly. Pull the cone washer out trying not to damage it. Reinstall the cone washer into the orifice on the toilet, then screw on the black piece. Doing it this way will seat the cone washer properly. If no cone washer, you need to get one from any RV dealership.
