Smile Tonneau covers

Ok--- so I have an F-150 ecoboost pulling a 26' Whitehawk Ultralite TT. Just purchased an F-250 w/ 6.7 PS Dsl. and will be getting a 5th wheel in the coming months. The big question---- is there a tonneau cover I can fold up while towing then fold down after dropping the trlr. and I would be looking for a high quality one also. Any input from you guys would be much appreciated--- Thanks

I have a BakFlip on my F150 that folds right up to the rear window. Very high quality - I have had it for 2 years and not a mark on it.

I just bought on for my F350. I use a soft roll up one with my fifth wheel. They are very nice. Bought it from truckalterations.com. He sells all different kinds. Call him though if you want an accurate price. The prices on the website are much higher than what he actually sells for (manufacturer rules I guess). Plus free shipping. My Access Lorado was $370 shipped to my door and had it within 48 hours.

I have a BAKFlip HD with a BAKBox installed on my F250 6.5' bed. I tow the 5th with the cover folded 3 times flat behind the cab.

I don't know if the one I have would fold up far enough for a 5ver, I have an Extang Solid Fold. High quality, easy to fully remove, and you can stand on it. I love mine. But I think the Bakflip may work better for your needs because it folds in 4 sections (not 3 like mine) and can fold up against the rear window of the cab, whereas mine has to be removed for full bed access.

I have the Bakflip F1 on my F150. I like it other than the fact that I still haven't figured out how I'm going to carry two 14' kayaks AND pull my trailer.

You'll probably have to put a bed rack or roof rack on your 150 to carry the yaks, or a combo thereof, similar to the ladder racks on work trucks that go from the rear bumper to over the cab.

Hey Tanker Yanker, is this handle your CB handle too? I overheard a CB conversation between two truckers with that handle back in the 1980's. Each said he had the handle first

I have a 'HARD' Roll Back retractable cover from BAK industries. Quite pricy (over $1,200) but it is EXACTLY what I needed. My Tundra has a super short bed (5.5ft), this cover works flawlessly with the PullRite SuperGlide hitch. It simply rolls back into the canister located towards the cab.

It compliments the truck too. Looks like it came with it right from the factory. Below are the pictures.

That's very cool! Wish I had seen that one when I was looking at these. It's not that much more money than I paid for my Extang.

Short or long bed? Tool box or no? I have a long bed with a tool box and installed an Access 4 years ago and it is still going problem free. Rolls up easy and holds a snow load well. Some go with the hard ones so you can leave it partially intact and store some things under it while traveling like a kids bike, cooler or such.

BakFlip makes a cover and rack system: http://www.bakflip.com/p-302-bakflip...eau-cover.aspx You might try to contact them to see if they have a retrofit option for an existing cover.

Smile Tonneau Cover

Wow! Thanks guys for all the input and pics, suggestions etc. After weighing everything including my own research I've pretty much decided on the RollBAK G2 ( they're like $ 1100 ). Glad to see PKEagle likes his--- hope that will make 2 of us. That cover will be going on a new F-250 CC,6.7 PSD,6'-9"bed. Picking it up tomorrow. Getting all excited! BTW 101Vet, that wasn't my handle. Its what I did for a living, gasoline. Thanks again for y'alls input

I have a F-250 6.7L diesel, too (great truck!!). Have the Roll-N-Lock with the Cargo Manager. Works great, with it latched in the 2nd position when towing, Cargo Manager holding gear up-front, closing the space off in front of the 5th wheel hitch. After unhooking, pull it all the way back.. and, it locks. Slick… a bit pricey, but worth it. See www.rollnlock.com
