Towing Double

Looking for some feedback on who's towing double behind a 2016+ Jayco Eagle? What is the tongue weight and total weight that you're pulling?

Looking to put about #3500 behind mine if possible?

Are you talking HT FW or Regular FW? The HT FW was the only one that came with a hitch and it's rated at 3,000. The regular FW only has a cargo receiver and it's not rated for towing.

Regular FW. 2016 EAGLE 325BHQS. From what I can gather, it has a hitch rated at 300lbs tongue weight and 3k towing capacity? Trying to confirm.

According to the brochure and factory that only applies to the HT. As I stated the one on the regular Eagle FW is only for carrying a cargo rack. This has been discussed in other threads.

I have a 2015 Jayco Eagle 323LKTS, so a similar fifth wheel to yours. I put a pig tail on my fifth wheel and pulled a 14 ft tent trailer behind it. My hope was to provide additional sleeping space for kids and family. I pulled it on about 4 trips before I stopped. Far too dangerous and the entire fifth wheel felt unsafe as it bounced harder and was very uncomfortable. Just my 2 cents, but I'll never pull double again.

We tow a 2021 pinnacle FW and a cargo trailer with a UTV. Jayco hitches won’t tow that amount of weight. We had a hitch welded on in place of Jayco’s hitch. We had to relocate the spare tire. The hitch weight is 500 lbs. and rated 5,000 lbs.

My 321 RSTS "regular NON HT" back hitch is 300# tongue wt, 3000 pound capacity. I too wonder about hooking up my fishing boat to the back... but have been too nervous to try it.
