TPMS Booster Question

If I connect a booster directly to the battery, can it run the battery down in storage or does the monitor have to be on for booster to pull power?

The booster stays on all the time. The monitor doesn't power it up. If you want to run it directly off your battery, I would install a simple on/off switch so it's not on when in storage.

I mounted my TPMS booster/repeater within the battery compartment of our FW.
I connected my TPMS booster/repeater Red power wire after the Battery CutOff switch (there's a fuse that I connected the TPMS booster/repeater Red power wire on its terminal) and also added an on/off switch as AKRUEBBE mentioned.
TPMS booster/repeater Black negative wire I connected directly to the negative post of the battery.

The reasons for this are:
1. The Battery CutOff switch will remove power from the TPMS booster when trailer is in storage.

2. If dry camping, I can turn off power via the on/off switch so the booster isn't draining battery power while camping.

Hope this helps.

I bought a switch from Amazon a located it in a convenient location. I just connected the red wire to the switch and ran the black wire through the switch case. I have only forgotten to turn it on once, but got reminded when one of my sensors dropped offline. I attached the switch to the wall with double sided sticky tape.

I doubt that the booster would run down the battery, but better to be safe than sorry.
