I searched on e-bay for TPMS and can find prices for as little as $50 bucks for wireless units. Granted they come from China or Hong Kong, but still....

I may check them out.

I would not recommend getting the cheapest thing you can find. This is you and your families safety net!

I just sent my TST 510s in for battery replacement after 4 1/2 years. I got brand new ones in three days for $19.99 each. We fulltime and I never took them off the whole time. I am well pleased with TST.

Well I guess I am about due. A few of mine have been replaced under warranty but I may just do the same thing and get them all swapped out. I was going to inquire if they would upgrade mine and give me a credit as a happy customer.

What would you upgrade to? I wouldn't consider the other models (507) to be an upgrade having to change batteries every year. The 510s only have to be delt with every 4 1/2 to 5 years and mine, although still working fine, were all beat up and raggedy and chewed up. Learned to use a bit od dielectric grease to keep them easy to take off.

Changing 507 sensor batteries isn't a problem for me. I always take them off when I am parked for long periods. Air pressure is what turns them on so the batteries last longer this way. I always install them a few days prior to traveling to give the monitor time to tell me which batteries if any need replacing. I then can replace just the battery that needs it and be on my way. I did have a battery need replacing one time while traveling but since the system tells me which one I replaced it at my next rest/fuel stop. Works for me and is a lot cheaper than 510 battery replacements and I do it myself right now and when needed.

TST has a great product and I will not travel without mine installed. I did buy 2 spare sensors last year in case my 6 year old original sensors start to die on me. So far the spares are still in their original package.

I don't know but it will be a TST product. When I got it, the main reason was the good customer service, the longer life batteries and the price. I thought they were going to stop producing the 510 because it was like a close out price for the system with 8 sensors. I have never taken mine off either except once or twice a year to inspect and when I have replaced tires. The original metal stems are still working perfectly. I have never needed a booster either.

I never expected them to last this long so I was going to check and see if they had a better product but don't know that they do. When I read about the flow thru stems, it sounded appealing but I seldom have to use that feature, so I'll likely just send them all back for the $19.99 deal.

They are a great company as far as customer service and anytime I called them with a problem, I got a new sensor within days. Once I called for some spare rubber washers and they were almost overnight in my mail box.

Best service I ever had from a company.

We're on our first trip out with our new 377 that we added the TST 507 flow through's to, and they have worked well. I occasionally loose signal from the rear axle, but it's a 42' trailer, and I didn't have time to install the signal booster yet, as it only arrived two days before we left on this trip!
