So went to pull my tires for new metal valve stems for the new TST system and first tire off has a bubble. Way to go Tow Max . I will be filing a claim on the network for future customers benefit.

Now I need to get some new rubber. 50+K and they can't put a decent tire on these rigs...Jayco will be hearing from me as well. Better check your tires inside and out is all I am going to say. No confidence in Tow Max product. Sorry to vent, but the TST system is what started it all.

File Complaint About Tires Here http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchSafetyIssues

We can continue to banter back and forth on this forum about XX brand tire failures, or we can actually try to do something about it.

Use the link above to submit your actual failure information.

I did not replace my valve stems to all metal. Thought I might be able to get 2 yrs on them. Will report problem back when I get my tire to the shop this week.

Found the problem. Small nail in inside part of the tread. No valve stem leak. Think this is a sign to go ahead and replace all four with a new set of treads.

On a bigger note. The lug nuts on the 5ver are "S$!T". Two piece lug nuts, the outer piece is almost plastic. One of my lug outers was cracked and another completely separated. There is no excuse for using lug nuts like this. My riding mower has better quality lug nuts than this. I will be replacing all 24 when the tires get changed.

CHECK YOUR NUTS!!!!!!

I highly recommend having a TPMS and a quality air compressor. ...

Which TPMS are you using? How long have you had it?

I'm starting to research TPMS units to see which may be the best to get.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Roc, I'm not Mallard but am happy to say I bought mine from Minder Research and have been pleased with my choice. It's alerted me twice to tire failures. In the first instance the tire threw about 2/3 of its tread and the TM was making noise before the rubber stopped flopping in the roadway behind me. Saved me from damaging the wheel wells I'm sure. The cords hanging out of the remaining carcas make an effective flail and will make short work of anything they can contact.

I'm not either. Bought mine from Truck System Technologies, TST. Best money I ever spent!

Interesting coincidence, got an e-mail from Minder Research around lunch time reminding me to send my sensor batteries in for free replacements. They're doing this thru 2018 I think.
