Our 2018 North Point is our first camper. We had a nice building done to store it in. Due to work and sickness we have pulled it Under 2000 miles on five trips. We stopped by the dealer to pick up something and noticed a new toy hauler they have in. Thinking we’d ask about working the numbers on a trade. We did! OMG. A person better get what you really want and plan to keep it. Our camper is “perfect” yet the offer for our camper was sickening. Who can do this? Sad thing!

So how do we decide a fair price?

Most dealers can give you 30 to 35% off of MSRP. So if an MSRP for a fifth wheel is $80,000 the dealer probably pays 40,000 for it 50% of MSRP. If you bought it for $55,000 and you wanted to trade it in a year later why would they give you more than 40,000 and probably much less because it’s a year old. that was told to me a while ago by a dealer and it makes a lot of sense. So you need to get as much as you can for your trade and pay as little as you can for the toy hauler. Sorry, I know that doesn’t help much.

This will "rot your socks". There was a time in the RV industry when demand outstripped supply. In my case it was around 1973. I attended an RV show that was put on by a single dealer in conjunction with a GM auto dealer. I left the show with a 23' Prowler, after the dealer gave me almost $1000 more than I originally paid for 3 year old Tour-A-Home slide on truck camper. I dunno. Boats are right up there too. Good luck to the OP, a private sale usually reaps greater rewards.

When we traded in our previous 5th wheel on our current TT we found trade in prices all over the place. I tried about 6-8 different dealers.
Low was $8K and high was $16.5K. NADA was $14K. Retail selling would've netted me about $18.5-$19.
NADA is the best guide for value.
