TV and 5er

Ok so it was pick up day for the 5th wheel! yay!! So here is a few pics of the rig and the trailer parked in my driveway (it doesn't fit) The delivery went well and when I hitched up it only dropped the TV by 1 1/2'" which pleased me mucho. Planning on taking it on a short tour today and trying some decent size hills today.

Awesome rig, Enjoy! When we brought our rig home, we found that the shed was to low to back it underneath because this rig was a foot higher. We had to raise the shed a foot.
Also I did not have a 50a to 30a adapter to hook up ac to the rig.

What great problems!

Looks great!

Question, it looks like it's riding with the nose a little high. Is that typical of using a 4X4? I was wondering how high the top of the bed is to the ground.

Congrats. Nice rig! I have the EXACT same setup. Lol. Only my truck is a '13. Even the same color. You will love it!

Not sure what the height of box is but measured the rear wheel opening to ground and was 42.5" without trailer and 41" with trailer.

I have backed a few things up in my day, this was no where near the hardest! I must admit that it didn't get that close to the post on the first try.

Beautiful 5th wheel and even a better looking TV!! I'll bet the 6.7l tows that with ease, mine does.

It does tow it very well, I couldn't be happier with my choice of TV. I ran it up and down some bigger hills around home last weekend and it performed flawlessly. Next test will be loaded on it's maiden voyage.

I pull a 18' nearly 3000k lb boat behind my 29.5BHDS 6.7L combo, and it doesn't drive any different than with just the trailer. Fully loaded won't feel any different.

Some good news in this thread for me as I am looking at the 29.5 BHDS to tow behind my 2011 F350 with a 18' Lund behind that.

Couple of questions.

Ont Pete - Looks like a 6 3/4 foot bed like mine. Do you have the Sidewinder pinbox or slider hitch or are you fine without?

UPCamper, what is your overall length with TV/Fiver/and boat?

Thanks

- bsd

Yes it's a 6 3/4 bed and I bought a Reese slider for mine but i haven't had to slid it yet i can get about a 65 or 70 degree turn out of it and haven't needed to yet. But when i need it ti will be there.
