TV tires

I'm on the market for new tires for a 2018 GMC 3500 4x4 SRW. I tow a NP. It is my daily commuter so comfort is good. I don't off road, but occasionally will use 4x4. I do like the aggressive look and have been looking at an all-terrain tire, the Toyo Open Country AT3. If anyone has any experience with this tire or have a similar suggestion I'd appreciate any input.

I had to buy tires when things were bad. I ended up with the Big-O Bigfoot A/T. I’m actually quite impressed with them. They are well mannered, quiet, do well towing, and the tread wear is much better than I expected. They are plenty aggressive enough for me(which amounts to driving in snow and getting my trailer out of sand and wet grass)

2 weeks ago I was forced to purchase tires before I wanted to. However, I have been researching them for over a year, and had settled on Milestar Patagonia AT/R from Tire Discounters. The reviews were reasonably good for a mid-priced tire. So far, I'm happy with all 150 miles (rofl). But they are quiet and ride well.

The OP describes himself very similar to me, although I don't use the truck as a commuter.

Help me out here, where are y'all towing that you need AT tires?
I'm in MN, hunt in the backwoods of the Superior Nat'l Forest, and rarely use the 4 wheel drive. Don't think I've ever used it while towing. Switched to HT tires last tire change. Handling, ride, road noise, and tire wear all improved, with plenty of traction in the mud and snow. Maybe I had bad AT tires before going to highway tires, but the majority of my towing is on paved (and occasionally snow covered) roads.

I don't take my trailer where I need all terrain tires. Yes I could get away with Highway Tires in that situation. But I need a vehicle to get to work as an ICU nurse. We get some pretty harsh and Slick weather and if we didn't get to work it is considered a no-show. Plus I like the look of an AT Tire over a Highway Tire. But that sort of secondary.

Never had your trailer sunk in the sand? How about wet grass on an incline.

Continental TerrainContact A/T

I’ve had them for 2 years now and they are a fantastic tire. Low road noise but lots of lugs in the tread for decent off-road performance. I use my truck for Boy Scout camping as well as fifth wheel towing!
