Unhook while traveling

I am wondering how many of you disconnect your RV from your truck when you stop for an overnight stay? My question arises from the need to be level when extending the slides.
My observation is the majority of fifth wheels in the camp grounds I have visited do not disconnect their TV for overnight stays but extend their slides even though it appears their units are not quite level. I also did this on past RV's I owned.

Most of the times I only level side to side and just leave it hitched; I've done this as long as 4 days. But generally its level enough front/rear.

Just got back from a 3000 mile trip. Stayed at 4 separate campgrounds and unhitched at all except the last one. We were just staying overnight and the spot was level and accommodated the TT plus TV as well so I left it hooked up. Was perfectly level so I just dropped the leveling jacks and hooked up the water, sewer and electric...done! This worked so well I will try to do this at all future stops. For longer stays or at stops where we need the TV to get around, I will unhitch.

We have only spent a single night twice. One night on the way down to FL and one night on the way back. I booked each stay at campgrounds that had level sites (I know, some say level and they may not be). In both cases we didn't unhook. I didn't even lower the stabilizers. Other than hooking up sewer, water and power, all I did was lower the jack just enough to take some weight of the truck. I didn't need to do that but I felt it made the trailer wiggle a little less.

We don't un-hook, but I will have the front legs just touch and the use the rear jacks to raise the back a little if necessary

About the same as Grumpy I lower the front jacks just enough to take a little load off the truck sometimes the back stabilizer a little " always check the pin is locked the next day just to make sure it's locked "

I only extend the slides when level. If that happens to be when I am hooked up, then I leave it hooked up. Otherwise, I disconnect and level before extending slides. I figure it really doesn't take that much time or effort to unhook.

As so far all we've had are PUPs, not unhitching hasn't been an option, but now that we've reading this, we'll keep it in mind. (Staying for just one night hasn't been an option, either, as it takes us a couple of hours up and a couple of hours down with our PUP. We are looking forward to not staying in motels on our way to where we're parking for several days.)
