I add the ones where I've camped. Not just the present camper, but all the campers I've had. Traded campers several times over the years. I saw one guy who put a little number for each time visited, other then his home state.

ttavasc, thanks for the link for the states I've visited website! I'm only including the states I've visited in the RV, not ones I've been to by air or car. We got the map for the outside of the RV off Amazon. My wife got it for us so I don't have the link handy myself.

This forum is getting spooky... I just researched and found how a couple hours ago, before this question was posted. I used https://epgsoft.com/ Pick the small map and check off your states. Upload at EDIT signature on the user CP link at the top. Signature does however apparently have to have some text as well, as it didn't work the first time. Also can upload your favorite picture, under the edit avatar link.

I ordered the following map from Amazon; it's very colorful. I hung it on our stainless steel trash/recycle bin inside our RV. I've see others hung on the outside of RVs and they have faded; I wanted to preserve mine. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here is the one I have been running on several different RVs. I prefer the colored states to the photos. Personal preference.

I also have an etiquette question....Do you color in the states you drove through or just the states you actually did something in or stayed in?

Strictly up to you, I only add states that I have camped in at least one night, but that is just my rule.

I checked my pocket Emily Post rules of etiquette and did not see a rule. LOL

Really, I mark where I have stayed, not just drive through. Some states, many nights, a few just once.

Your call!
