Washer/Dryer
Have a 2020 Jayco 317Rlok. The camper came with a washer hookup but we don't have the washer dryer combo. We are starting to travel farther so I am thinking about buying the combo. Any recommendations?? Thanks

I love my Splendide 2100XC which is the vented combo. It has been wonderful, especially helpful keeping up with all our clothes when we travel with our two grandsons.

We have the Splendide WDC7100XC non vented version and love it. Use it on every trip we have full hooks. Bought it used for 125 I believe it was, used lightly for one season. I installed the drip pan when I installed it.

I am now into year 11 full timing and my 2100XC has been with me for the entire time. Works great and I would definitely recommend it.

We have the Splendide stackable version with vented dryer. We enjoy the fact that we can wash and dry at the same time. Overall, you get more done in less time than a combo. But.....I also think with the dryer mounted on top there is more to rock and roll while traveling. We've had the motor replaced once and the entire dryer replaced once due this. Or at least that is what the tech believes.
If we do it again, we'll try the combo although my wife is pretty adamant against the combo unit. One of those battles I've never been interested in fighting
We travel about 8k miles a year on Interstate mostly.

We have the 7100XC. Works well, nice to be able to keep clothes clean while on a trip. Installed it myself.

I never liked wondering what a previous user put in these laundromat machines and that was a concern before Covid-19. Much better to use my own.
It always amazes me how many comments I read on the size and speed of the Splendide 2100XC. "It it too slow, I can do it faster, etc.". What's the hurry. Load it, set it, and come back when it is done.

I have the Splendide 2100 ventless and one of the boards went out that controls the drain. I asked a dealer how much it would cost to repair and he said it would be about the same as it would cost to replace it. Apparently it's complicated.

You might try contacting Spledide directly and see what their response is concerning this issue. I found them very helpful when I contacted them.

We have the separate Splendides with vented dryer. Washer control board failed early on but they dispatched an appliance repairman - same one we used at the old house- very soon under warranty. 2 years later we still run a load almost every day. Dryer takes 50% more time than a home unit but of course it's only 120V.

Not complicated to get too so obviously the dealer didn't want to tackle it. As Angus said there are numerous Appliance Repair people who work on them, just like a home unit.

I totally agree and yes it is a problem for us also, adding a washer and dryer was one of the best mod I have did to our 5th wheel I did my own install and it came out just as good if not better if the dealer would have did it.

Splendid all the way. Made in Canada. I've had mine for nearly nine years. Its a work horse. I have the stackable washer dryer combo. When I downsized my RV after my husband's passing I moved the units to my apartment. I still travel 6 to 8 months a year so they don't get the same workout. So far, I've only had to replace the dryer heating element....after 6 years use. Good luck with your research and purchase.
