Washer Dryer Help!

In a very short time this forum has been a major help to us as we prepare to cruise the country in our 2020 Eagle 317RLOK. Working on washer dryer install and looking at LG or Splendide. Upon measuring the prepped area, it appears that neither will fit unless the back panel of the closet is removed. Anyone know if this is the correct move?

We have a Splendide. It's definitely a tight fit and I ended up cutting a section out of the back panel and enclosed it to allow the vent hose to go between the interior/exterior wall. I would take a picture, but not going to remove everything Otherwise I found that pushing units back, crimped the exhaust hose.

Don't know if the pics help or not.

Why not contact JAYCO and ask if it's supposed to be removed?

When the dealer installed mine they just pushed everything to fit which pushed the back panel loose exposing the inside of the nose and insulation. Although I was impressed with the amount of insulation back there it looked like crap which is why I opted to mod it.

My 2017 Eagle 293RKDS barely fit. I also installed a leak pan.

I just looked at the specs and it's 22 5/8 to the front of the door. So as Earl said it will be tight, but it will fit.

Hi Big1,
1.) did you have to cut any wall surface out behind the unit for the vent?
2.) How long does it take to dry a load of clothes with that unit (looks like the 2100XC)

3.) are you happy with the unit, any problems, would you buy again?
Thanks

We have a 2020 317RLOK. I installed a Splendide 2100xc into that exact same cabinet. It for without issue and I did not do any modifications to the rear panel. The dryer vent is located on the left side of that cabinet which is the deeper side. I ended up taking the dryer vent out of the back of the unit and then up and over the Splendide and exhausted out the side. It is a very tight fit, but it will work.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Wash/Dry time

Thanks a lot JustAiks! I'll do the same. Curious as to how long it takes to wash and dry a load of clothes?

It depends on how full you load up the washer. I would say on average about 30 minutes to wash and about 90 minutes to dry. So about 2 hours. If you really load it up, it’s going to take longer.

X1, what JustAiks said we go out for about a few days but on our long trip which will be about 2 to 2 1/2 weeks we get ready to go so where so we put a load of light clothes in and walk away, about time we get back they are usually done.

I know this is a few months old.

According to the manual there is only one cycle that is less than an hour for wash only. Then you need about an hour to dry.
