Water drip
Hi all, I have a pinnacle 36Rets , durning a heavy rain last night I noticed droplets of water coming out of one of the AC disperses!
How does water get into the AC duct? By the way the AC was off!
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
It’s a 2011 model year!

May need a picture to make a informed comment. Is there an ac unit over the vent? It may be one or more of the 4 bolts on the corner need snugging up.
You have to remove the 4 corner cover screws to access the mentioned screws that hold and seal the unit to the roof.

It’s not Coming from the main AC but from the duct diffuser that is 8’ away!
Droplets are forming on rim and dripping onto the floor?

I would bet it is condensation. I had a similar problem with the a/c vent in my bathroom. My solution was to aim the air flow register 90 degrees to the run of the a/c duct. No more issue after that.

Might want to check the rubber seal between the roof and your AC unit. I had a similar problem last year and found that the rubber gasket that sits between the roof-top AC unit and my rubber roof had shifted and was allowing rain to enter the return duct. During a rain storm, if my AC was on, the air being pulled from the inside return vent was sufficient to keep the water from running inside. But when the unit cycled off, I was getting a run of water inside through the return vent.
You may be able to re-position the gasket and fix it. I replaced my gasket completely because I didn’t like how it had become “deformed”.

OK here is where a picture would be worth mucho words.
Can you remove the register and determine if the water is coming from in or out of the duct? You may just have a roof leak. Someones going to have to inspect the roof for problems soon!

Have you checked the foam seal between the roof top AC unit and the roof membrane? On a 2011 camper, it maybe compressed and needs tightening or replacing.
The angle of the trailer may just allow the water to drip into that particular duct.

Inspected the roof, the coping flange on the one side of the roof that wraps from the roof over the side, had some cracking in the caulking along the rubber roof!
Dicor the seam , other than that there a no other spots!
Guess I’ll wait for it to race n and see what happens!! Unless you have any other suggestions!
Thanks for your input!!

Several have asked about the 4 corner bolts that secure the ac to the roof. On your rig, they may be on top under the cover if you don't have a grille under it.
Worth a look!

RUA, During a torrential downpour with rain blowing sideways I have personally observed exactly what you described. The rain blew in through the condensing coil and ran out of the ceiling diffuser. It happened only once to the guy (so far). Not much you can do with the exception being to run the AC unit the fan blowing back through should keep the rain out.
