Water leak going to RV fridge?
Got my NP 377 home on Thursday. Yesterday I filled up the 5 gallon water bottle, hooked up the pump and turned it on. After running for a while (minute or so) I wasn’t getting any water from the sink faucet, but the pump was running and water level in the bottle went down.
I found the one valve for the line running to the RV fridge ice maker, behind the trash can in the center island. It was turned on, so I turned it off and tried the pump again. This time it primed and I got water from the sink drinking water faucet.
Digging further, I find the second fridge shutoff valve, it was off. This has me concerned because I would think that with that second valve turned off, the water should have pressurized and I should have had water at the sink.
I don’t see any leaks visible, but I suppose if it leaked under the belly it may be just captured there.
Yes it is under warranty and will certainly get the dealer to repair, but wanted to get thoughts first, like is there a low point drain or something on this?

Was your water heater already full?

Yes, but it’s a separate source

Possible it was filling up the empty fridge lines, fridge water filter and ice maker? Just spitballing here

That’s a good question, maybe, but I would have thought that there would have been some pressure at the sink. It probably sucked out ½ gallon of water out of the bottle. I’m concerned about letting it go too long incase it is leaking.

Valid concern, but then again it’s hard to find a leak (if there is one) when no water is being sent to the leak. There’s only one way to find a leak and that’s to see it leaking unfortunately. I’d kick the pump on again out of curiosity and let it run to the fridge for a bit longer while being hyper vigilant looking and feeling for a leak.

There is a tank or coil of plastic line in the fridge that has to fill up too, that is where the chilled water supply is stored.

In all my reading, there’s a lot of talk about the “2” valves for the refrigerator water line, well guess what, there are 3, at least on mine. The line running to the fridge has a low point drain, and the valve was wide open. I don’t know why I didn’t see the water pouring out of there before, but thank you Screwby for kicking me to run the pump more. All set now, water is in the dispenser for the ice maker now!
