Water Leak NP 382FLRB

Fellow campers, I just noticed a small leak...a few drops at a time nothing big. I own a 382FLRB. The leak is coming from a big 1 1/2 pipe drain area under the dinette slide. I have a low point drain in that location. The water is not coming from the small drain with the down spout but from the bigger drain...see pics.

Any idea what that drain is for? Is the 1 1/2 drain the low point drain?

I have never seen anything like that, it looks like the bottom side of a toilet connection. Leaks water, how does water get to that what-ever it is? Under the slide? That doesnt appear to be under a slide as its encased in plastic under belly thats not under slides.

Like dxRobertson said, never seen anything like that. My first thought was also that it looks like the bottom of the toilet. Can you provide better pics and description?

The big drain is the fresh water dump/empty port. There should be a slide handle, same as the ones for the waste tanks, near that valve. Try pushing it in to see if the leak stops. If it doesn't, check the seal once your fresh water tank is empty, either from use or by actually dumping it. The small tube, I would assume, by the location is the overflow tube for the fresh water tank.

Thanks, meant to say on dinette slide side - it is under the belly of the trailer. I was assuming it was the low point drain for the freshwater tank but was not sure...there is a drain pull just up from there so that is what made me think it was the fresh water drain.

I have about 1/3 tank of fresh water, I might dump it and close the valve back and wait a week or so and add some more water to the fresh water tank and see if it still leaks.

The small hose could be low point drain. Check for a valve inside close to where it comes out. Otherwise it may be the overflow drain, but that should stop dripping after the tank is no longer over-filled. I’ve never seen a fresh water tank drain point straight to the ground, so I’m not sure about the other. If it is the fresh water drain, try lubricating the valve and seal with wd40 and see if it helps. Seal may need to be replaced.

I've seen them on Grand Design trailers before and always wished my Eagle had that rather then the slow 1/2" drain tube. But have noticed on some of the newer Jayco's they have gone to this large drain port. Would make it a lot quicker to dump specially if you are sanitizing your fresh water tank.

I am not sure what I have learned?

When you pull the fresh tank drain, make sure you see water coming out of that area rapidly. If so, it could be a drain but I have never seen one like that.

I wish mine had that. Takes forever to drain from the little tube if there’s much left in there. Using my tank on a cold weekend, and draining the leftovers before traveling takes some pre planning.

It is the fresh tank drain. Comes out nice and fast. The drip of water (leak) was coming from around the spray foam and not the actual drain valve itself so I am guessing I will have to get under there and cut some foam away and see about resealing it.

It does drain fast.
