Water leaking around light fixtures at nose

I noticed water leaking at the underside of the nose, right of hitch where there are two little lights on the underside of the nose. Water is leaking at these light fixtures. This is a 2017 Jayco Eagle 317RLOK . Roof looks good, inside of closet in bedroom is dry too. I do have water lines that run under the closet floor to the left side for washer hookup, that are not being used, no washer/dryer. Any ideas how to get to water lines to examine? I suppose this is just a dealer visit as it is under warranty.

I think you have the same issue I had last winter when camping in the cold. Water filled up the switch covers under the cap and then dripped out and turned to Ice. No clue what caused this and my unit is at Jayco for repair, I put that issue on my list so as of now now clue why this happened.Click image for larger version

Same issue this weekend. Though maybe it was condensation since it was lower 30's outside and heat running inside. Tom said look at gaskets around marker lights that could be letting water in.

We had water leaking from the same switches on our 28.5 HT. Pulled the switches and looked inside and could see light coming from the lights on the front cap. Water was getting in from there. Had the dealer pull and seal all the front cap lights while in for winterization. We’ll see what happens after the next rain.

Oh wow, this site is great. So this must be a leak into the cone area, as one of the other posters indicated, possibly from light fixtures on the nose. I will be interested in what they find on yours and anxiously await your feedback.

Love this forum !!!

It is the clearance lights. During heavy rain, Harvey and the again this past Labor Day in Galveston mine leaked ALOT. Was buying a ton of dicor to redo the front cap and a technician said that it is probably the clearance lights and to put a bead of silicon around them. He said to redo it every six months to make sure they stay sealed. It seems to have solved the problem. The last heavy rain it stayed dry. Now keeping my fingers crossed that they replace the shelves in the washer dryer closet under warranty. It was on my list.

Any updates on this, 2n0z or atsacco?

Yes. Sorry for the delay but we just had rain a few days ago so we were able to re-evaluate. We had the dealership seal the front cap vertical white and amber lights. Before that, we could see light coming from around the vertical white lights when we pulled the bottom switch and looked up. I am happy to report, that after 2 inches of rain a few days ago, everything was dry and there was no water coming from the switch or lower areas of the front cap area.

I'm glad you guys posted this. I noticed last trip out thay water was slowly dripping from the same area. A ladder and some silicone sounds like the answer.

The last rain we were in it seemed to do the trick it’s been at the dealer waiting on warranty parts since 10/25. Some of those parts are new shelves for the washer dryer compartment that were messed up from water damage from the leak.
