I keep about 30psi in my unit and have never had a problem. I also use an Ionic shower head as it increases pressure coming out. http://https://www.amazon.com/Filtra...1106569&sr=8-5

Well, I did ask for clarification when I questioned the 25 PSI. But Jayco never responded.

Should not be a problem, even 50-60, it is the 75-120-PSI and/ or WATER HAMMER from things shutting off that you sometimes see at 3:AM when people shut things off that is risky. BTW the 45 is a Max; when flowing, will be less anyway

From what i have read "Modern RVs can handle up to 100 psi of water pressure. However, most RV experts recommend you never let the water pressure exceed 60 psi. Somewhere around 40 to 50 psi is ideal for many RVs." Of course, you should consult your RV’s owner’s manual before just blindly following some general guidelines.

Mine is installed in the wet bay of my motorhome. It is always in the same position, upright.

We killed our Renator adjustable in a hard freeze and replaced it with a fixed unit that claims 50-55 psi. No problems. When we get poor park pressure, we keep onboard fresh water and run off the pump.

How did you install yours?

Good Luck getting much more than 45psi constant water pressure at most RV campgrounds...

I'm confused. When I set my adjustable water pressure valve to 45 lbs while the water is running out of a faucet, then close the faucet, the pressure gradually increases to over 60 lbs, which is more than I want it. But when I set it at 45 lbs with the system closed, when I open a faucet, the pressure drops to about 25 lbs, which is less than I want it.
So how do I set the pressure?
Thanks.

You set the pressure based on the static pressure, not the flow pressure. So 45 - 55 pounds while the water isn’t running.

45-60 psi is ideal, especially on newer RV's. The weak link is usually the connectors and fittings that crack, not necessarily the lines themselves. If your lines are red and blue, they're most likely PEX tubing and are rated pretty high. It's usually the fittings that fail.

I reached Out to them about this. They recommended should the oil ever leak out of the plug if it was used in a vertical position, you simply refill it with glycerin.

I’ve yet to need to refill mine. I do have a small bottle of glycerine on hand however.

I accidently put 80 psi on mine a few years back and I noticed several crimped joints started dripping. I keep my regulator set at 50 psi but many cg water supplies do not approach that but some are way over that.

Hello, I am new to this community and I want to thank you all for sharing such valuable information. I have 2017 jayco northpoint 377rlbh and have had a lot of problems that your posts have helped me solve. I have only had the coach for about 6 months but I have owned many over the years.

With the help of your posts, I have got the furnace going by resetting the "secret switch" and have solved the plugged kitchen sink by knowing there is a hidden dump valve for that sink....no one ever told me that when I bought it.

Now I have a problem with hot water pressure. This morning it just dribbled out out of the shower head and wasn't able to take a shower. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and I kept moving the shower valve handles back and forth and it finally came on....but very low pressure. This morning, I didn't have any hot water pressure in the bathroom sink either. I had to get to work and didn't check the kitchen sink but last night I had hot water in both the bathroom and kitchen.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome Aboard! You might get more responses if you start a new post!

Have you checked the aerators on the faucets? Last night my kitchen faucet started to just dribble. Removed the aerator and it worked great. Cleaned it and put it back on.

Thank you. I will start a new post. It is a brand new shower head but I can check the aerators on the other faucets.
