Water pump/Line - sucking air

I have a 2020 Jayco Eagle 317RLOk and can't find figure out why the pump will not shut off and the system won't pressure up. Fresh water tank is full. I have water coming out the taps but it just sputters - air in line and no consistent flow. Low point valves are closed and i'm using the Dry Camping Valve settings. I disconnected the water pump and hooked up the intake to a pail of water - it sucks the water in and the pump comes up to pressure and shuts off - so i know its not my pump. I checked and cleaned the filter - just in case. I have checked all the valve fittings to see if they are loose and they are all fine. The pump is sucking air somewhere and I can't figure it out. The trailer has a complete closed underbelly so I don't have a visual of the fresh water tank to check the pick up line from the fresh water tank. Any ideas of things I can try?- so frustrating. My trailer is parked on our lot that is 3 hours away from any RV dealer. Sean

This may turn in to a fiasco but it could be the pickup tube in the tank. Check as much of that as you can, and if you can pull that pickup check it first for connection then for any breaks/cracks.

Thanks CAG. I figured that this might be the issue also. I believe the pick up return tube for fresh water tank is buried somewhere in the underbelly so I can't get at it. The manuals that come with the trailer are mostly useless. Wish Jayco included a schematic of where things are located and how to access them. Sadly, I may be towing the vehicle in to the dealer.

First thing to do is go outside, to where you connect the water hose. There should be a hose washer with a "cone shaped screen" on it. Is the cone facing outwards or inwards? If inwards it is pressing on the check valve, and the pump drawing air through it.

I believe the metal screen on the fill side port is pointing out but i will double check it to make sure. Thanks for the advise.

There are not too many options on the low pressure side. I would be trying to isolate the problem further. My initial thoughts:
1. Check all the valves. Winterization and tank fill valves (the one by the pump) not fully closed could let air in. Mine has 2 valves to fill the tank from the winterization tube. If they are not both completely turned, I get nota.

2. Check if the pump strainer is tight.

3. Try using the winterization tube with plain water in a bucket if your system will do that. I think that would rule out the tank itself.

4. Try filling the tank with the winterization tube, if you have that option.

Added picture for visual of possible problem areas.

I would check the Winterization valve. If it is closed open it you might have a air lock. It happened to my son on the first trip out this year. We opened the winterization valve and it picked up prime am started pumping.
