Way Too Motivated for a Monday

I woke up this morning and decided it was time to sanitize my fresh water system. So I turned off the hot water heater, drained all of the low point drains, filled the freshwater tank with the proper mixture of water/bleach and then ran all of the faucets, hot and cold, until I smelled the bleach. I did drain the hot water heater prior to this so the water heater was included in the treatment. I took the anode out and looked at it since it has been in service continuously for 16 months. It is hardly worn down so I put it back in.

Now after it sits for a few hours I will drain the fresh water tank and hot water heater again and then purge all of the lines with new fresh water. If I smell excess chlorine, I will drain the fresh tank and purge again.

As the subject line said, I am Way Too Motivated for a Monday. I think I will take a nap before I drain the fresh tank and water heater.
