It's not a good idea- even if the roof can hold the weight.

If you really want to entertain on the roof of your trailer maybe you should consider trading your Jayco in for one of these.

Definitely a no-no, unless you don't mind dealing with roof leaks and other damage later. If your 5er came factory equipped with a roof ladder, it is re-enforced enough to support your weight for maintenance, but definitely not designed for entertaining a bunch of folks.

Hey - I have been there a couple of times and heard a lot of "hey you'all watch this...."....it sure was fun...but I would not let folks on my roof! The first camper we ever looked at was used and had been to 'Dega a couple of times....the owner said "yeah - I let my buddies take it down every year"...after looking at some of the interior damage we RAN!

Go Denny...#11....

Randy,

I agree, the Eagle FW roof isn't designed for that kind of load/activity.

I would think that the people on the roofs are either clueless or using rental units. Don't do it.

They are clueless. The rental units normally don't even have a ladder, for that and other reasons.

I don't like the way the roof feels underfoot by myself let alone add other people in the mix.
