Mor-ryde U012-016 is the one for the CRE 3000 and states 2 ¼" shackles.

My shackles seem to be longer, which makes me think I should get U012-021, which states 3 1/8" shackles.

What did you use?
Measure your shackle links center to center and order the kit with the same length.

Thanks. I ordered and received the U012-016 kit and installed it. It was measuring long due to the wear I the stock links.

It took me about 5 hours to install, with several trips out back to gather all the tools I needed. With the trailer slightly raised, I did it all with one bottle jack. I took tires off and did one side at a time. I found that this kept the axles and springs from moving too much, so it was pretty easy to manipulate into position for installing bushings and aligning bolts.

I, like others, found that the MorRyde CRE 3000 equalizer already had bronze bushings installed and just left them in place.

I used a harbor freight U-joint press to push out the old bolts and set the new bolts in the spring hangers. I used an old bolt with the shoulder ground of to tap in the new bushings. All in all, not too bad or difficult. Just time consuming.

2 issues that I had were 3 grease zerks that wouldn't accept grease, which I swapped out with extras I had on hand, and of wet bolt that wouldn't accept grease. At all.... I've reached out to MorRyde hoping that they can send me a new bolt to swap in.

Here are some pictures I took of the process:
Pushing out old bolt with a press
Tapping in New bushing
Pushing in new wet bolt with press
Bolt with ground off shoulder used to tap in bushings
Old vs new

Would someone mind measuring the thickness of the new shackle for me. My old ones on the 3000 are 1/4 inch. Seems thick enough.

I looked it up on their site to save me walking outside where it's cold. They are 1/2" thick. The holes in my OE shackles were elongated and the nylon bushings were worn out after about 20,000km of towing.

This one of the problems, 1/4" thick isn't enough. The heavy duty are 1/2" thick.
