What are you pulling 321 RSTS with

Wife & I are going to buy a 321 RSTS fifth wheel, and just wondering what those of you that have one pull it with, and if you are happy with the combination. Thanks for any input.

We have a 2017 321RSTS and tow it with a 2018 Ford F350 (SRW) with a 6.7 PowerStroke diesel and an automatic trans. Put on 2200 miles from NH to present location, Gulf Shores, AL and we are averaging 10 MPG according to the on board computer. We tow at 67 MPH with cruise control on and it tows very well! Towed with a 2008 Chevy 2500HD Alli/DMax prior to the Ford. We felt like we were pushing the weight envelope when fully loaded, plus I was getting horny for a new vehicle so we got the ford. All said, the Chevy did a great job as well,

We have a 2019 Eagle 321rsts on order. It should be in around February or March. We are in the process of searching for and / or ordering a 2018 or 2019 Ford F350 SRW SB CC with diesel. We plan to travel and camp locally. Not fulltime, but we plan to be gone for 1 to 3 months to travel. May become snowbirds in the next few years!!

2015 321rsts. We pull with a 2009 Chev 2500HD, 6.0 gas, Extended Cab, 8' box.

The 5er GVW is right at Max Tow rating on the truck. Truck is the 'WT' work truck model so it has extra cargo capacity for the pin weight.

In 2016 we pulled to Alaska and back with no issues. Also pulled around the Blakc Hills of SD and through MT & ID on I-90. Pulls 55 to 67 with no problems; just gets a bit thirsty when working hard

We picked up our 2019 321RSTS yesterday. Towed it home (80 miles) and getting it ready for a 1000 mile round trip next week we tow with a 2017 Ram 2500 4X4 crew cab with turbo diesel. Strong winds yesterday in So. Cal and pulled a long grade. No issues and pulled like a dream.

We pull our 2018 321RSTS with an 18 Ram 2500 Crew Cummings w/Demco 21K Hitch. I also Added air bags. The truck handles this 5th wheel like a dream. I can get over Tehachapi Pass easily at constant 60 MPH, even higher if i wanted to push it. I run 26 lbs in rear bags and i don't get any sharp jolts i was warned about. Not sure if they Morryide hitch helps on ride quality but i can tell you, i love pulling this trailer. I don't have the rear backup camera for the Trailer yet, it is high on my want list along with a Truma Tankless Water Heater.

We have a 2011 RLTS which dry weight is a few hundred heavier than the rsts specs I see are correct. I pulled a long while with a 2003 GMC 2500HD crew long bed DMax. Never felt like it was overworked but now use a 2012 Dually D/A, way better towing experience.
You can't have too much truck as long as it's a pickup style, save the HDT & class 8 semi conversions for the really huge rv.

We pull ours with 2017 Silverado 2500 CC LB D-Max. Has handled camper comfortably for 8k miles including I77/WVa turnpike. Depend on 10.5-11 mpg (9.5 in WVa TP mountains) w cruise at 60-65. Towed first local outing with 2015 SB and got very nervous about cab clearance. Truck sits almost perfectly level even though we are exceeding rear axle weight and gvwr (right at the tire rating though). Pin weight with all our stuff is 2200#. Should have gotten 3500???? One ton numbers would perhaps give piece of mind but we use the truck solo a lot, know it rides better than empty 3500, and it has handled the load so well.

We have a 2004 29RLTS Designer Medallion 5er, around 11,000 loaded, and pull it with a 2003 Ford F350 SRW crew cab long bed, with a V-10 gas engine. The Ford pulls smoothly, and I have to look back every once in a while to make sure the trailer is still there. On the open road, we get about 11-12 mpg, while the truck gets about 13 when not pulling. We are very pleased with its performance, and plan to stay with this combination until the wheels fall off, or we get too old to go camping.

I pull my 2018 321RSTS with a 2014 Ford F350 DRW, 6.7 turbo diesel. Easy Peasy. Could probably get away with an F250 with the 6.7 diesel.

We have a 2016 361 RQST, 12950 factory weight. We pull w a 2015 GMC Duramax Diesel 2500 Crew cab Sierra. Has the Allison 6 transmission. We've pulled long distances, to FL, NV, VA, and back thru Smokies with no problems.
We get 10 to 11 mpg on straight highway and interstate speeds.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the input. Wife & I picked it up a couple of weeks ago. Pulled it home with our GMC 2500 Duramax without any issues. Rear end still sits about 3/4 inches higher than the front, but it's close enough. Very stable combination. We live in Maryland and pulled it home from Michigan, across the Appalachians.

IMO. 3/4 inch in a fifth wheel is not a concern. They sit high anyhow so rear dragging won't be a concern and the extra bed clearance will be a plus at some time.
