When I looked at the existing drawer I saw I could take out the cook surface with four screws and was then left with a metal drawer with no bottom or back. I cut a piece of masonite for the bottom and a piece of pine for the back and glued and screwed them together.

Then looking at how to hold it in place I realized the screws for the slide rails stick out inside the drawer, so I ripped some 3/4" x 3/4" pine strips and glued and screwed them to the sides of the masonite. I replaced the side rails screws with slightly longer screws that now screw into the 3/4" pine strips holding the insert in place.

If I ever sell the unit and the new owner wants the grill back they just remove the insert and drop the cook top back in.

Does anyone know if the 17 inch Blackstone can be fitted to go in this space?

Possibly with extensive mods, but I'm not even sure there is physically enough space for one there. I do keep my Blackstone 17"stored on the countertop above this drawer though and take it out and place it on a table to cook.

Even if it would fit it would still be a hot grill/cooking right next to the side of your camper, I wouldn't do it personally.

By the way, propane gear sells a kit so you can run the Blackstone off the rig propane. It takes out the regulator and adds a quick disconnect: https://propanegear.com/blackstone-1...t-m-f-qc-hose/

I certainly agree. Thanks very much for info on the adapter.

That’s what I plan to do. Thanks so much.

I do the same thing. The 17" fits perfectly on the shelf above the grill. I put pool snakes around it while traveling to prevent any damage, but it's a great place to store it when not in use.

I use the grill as a table for my coffee maker!

We just purchased a 2021 new-to-us Jayco Eagle 29.5 BHDS that has the grill in it. The drawer slides were warped and I pinched my finger pretty good on it. We need to find another use for this space.

Does anyone know if you can buy a replacement drawer like what is on the left hand side and just replace the drawer slides?
Thanks!

Coffee Maker

I use my Jayco grill to hold my Coffee maker while making breakfast/dinner with my Blackstone 17” grill that I also store on the shelf that the grill slides under.

Most likely because that post is close to two years old and the hosting perhaps doesn't exist anymore.
