What is this??

2017 Northpoint 375.
We've owned this brand new since 9/2016 and I've never noticed this before. Its located in the front closet of the master room. It mounted to the ceiling smack in the middle of the closet doors. It has 2 wires coming out of it and I'll be John Brown if I can figure out what it is.
Any ideas??

It looks like a motion sensor. Do your closet lights happen to come on automatically when the doors are opened?

That's what I think it is as well...definitely a motion sensor.

X2 on a motion detector for your lights. You may also have one of these in a pantry cabinet, if it has lights.

You guys are all pretty darn smart! Lol! That's exactly what that is, a motion sensor. I was fixing some lose crown molding if that's what we want to call it and I stepped out and went to the garage for some supplies and when I cam back the light was off. I thought I was losing my mind because I swore I turned it on. I reached inside the closet to turn the light back on at the switch on the light itself and suddenly it came on.
Nice job you guys!!
Thanks!

The switch on the motion sensor disables it

This sounds like an old Jedi trick played on the weak minded stormtroopers at Mos Eisley space port.
