What is this for?

In setting up and unpacking the manual pouch for my North Point 377RLBH this weekend I found this rectangular glass piece, does anyone know what is it for? One other question, there was not manual for the fireplace in my packet, so does the two dash setting work? When I power it on to the single dash (line) it is on, but then it is off when I switch to the two dash (lines), is this correct? When in the middle it is off as it should be. Thank you to this Forum as it has been a wealth of knowledge for a newbie like me!

Sorry, but I don't recognize what's in the picture. But the 2-dashes is so the fireplace can be turned on/off with the remote control.

Welcome and great choice you made with the 377! We couldn't be happier with ours!

Got it, had not tried the remote with it yet, thank you. The unknown glass piece was in with all the manuals and in protective sleeve, but without a reference to anything.

Got it! The 48" TV base was easy to figure out but that glass piece threw me. I just looked at a smaller Furrion TV on the internet and there it was on that base. Thanks so much again.
