Question What's wrong with this pic?

Did an inspection of my new North Point 377RLBH. Whoever installed this must have been hung over from the previous night.

I was hoping this was a fluke. The engineer must have 8' long arms to reach it from the other side

Is that for the sanicon? It won't open if flipped because of the other valve.

doesnt run with the flow of the pipework either. A double wye would have been better there. Maybe they need a plumber to give them a lesson.

I believe your correct..... it may be a manual by-pass for the Sanicon in the event it's inoperable and/or removal of (?).

IT is a by-pass for the sanicon. If I'm camping for the weekend I open it and use the sanicon. If I'm camping for the week I keep it closed and hook up hose.

I just shaking my head. Even if they would have pointed forward up under a 45 angle, it would be more accessible.

Mine is that way also. The first time I tried using the Sanicon I figured something was wrong because it didn't work. Didn't bother checking the manual, just thought I would put it on my checklist for warranty. I was checking air pressure in the tires on the opposite side of the coach and just happened to look underneath and there it was!! That valve, which I didn't know was there, was in the closed position. Sanicon runs like a dream now

I just leave it open all the time since I use the sanicon 95% of the time. If I am staying for a week I might drag the big hose out and open up the other valve and close that one, that way I can leave my kitchen gray water tank open for the duration of the trip.

I really like the Sanicon system. Your hands don't even get wet...........much cleaner to deal with instead of hauling the big hose out all the time!

While sanicon came up is the hose empty or full of fluid when your finished dumping and put it away.

I think that there is some fluid that is not fully pumped out......okay with me. Again, I love the system.

mine is very similar with the valve going towards the inside direction. It is a different model but almost the same set up.

I also wondered if I was the only person that couldn't get the hose all the way empty. Could be an issue for those in the northern parts where it is cold in winter. But then when you winterize just pay it a little more attention.

I have the luxury of taking care of that when I get home. When I pull into the pasture I drive through to get to my parking spot at home, I just open up the outer valve and any leftover gray water that did not pump out drains out.

But yes there is always some left in there when you just use the sanicon system.

If they point that new valve toward you it would hit the long sweep why if they pointed down you take the chance of knocking it off so they putting it back ways since that’s the last option

IMO it would have been better to add a 3" long piece of pipe, then the valve, face it toward the outside and it would clear the sweep.

Seems simple enough but I'm not a plumber.
