Wheel & Tire sizing

I am looking at purchasing a new Pinnacle 5ver, one of my biggest features and benefits of the 2018 units over the 2017 units to me is the 8000# axles, and the 17.5 wheels and tires. Yet I have gone into different dealers lots, and some have the 17.5 wheels, some have the 16”wheels, the dealer just tells me it is the way the factory sent it. How can that be, if that is what is being sold as standard equipment, how can they sell without the standard equipment?

The specs on the Jayco web site for the 2018 Pinnacle only show 16 inch wheels with Goodyear tires and 7k axles. Nothing listed in option upgrades for 17.5 inch wheels. Where did you see 17.5 inch wheels and 8k axles.

It was on a Jayco publication showing the differences in 2017 vs 2018 model year production changes. I was asking questions about the year differences, and they sent me a 2 page document that appeared to be a training document for selling the differences in the years.

Go to Jayco.com and you can check the most up to date specs for the Pinnacle for 2017-18. When looking I noticed the specs for wheels/tires and axles for both years were the same, sometimes they list a tire/wheel upgrade option but nothing there. You can also call Jayco and ask them since it sounds like the dealer didn't really care to look into it for you.
