Where to buy slide toppers

Hi All.
Happy early Fathers Day. Well DW and I are looking to purchase Three slide toppers for our new Eagle HT 27.5 RLTS. I think we pretty much have decided on the Dometic Elite toppers since they have a metal cover to protect them during storage. Just trying to find the best bang for my buck. Any suggestions on where to get the best pricing? BTW, I will be installing them myself.
Thanks,
Paul

This place seems to offer pretty good discounts, you will just have to shop the internet to locate the best pricing.

We are considering this same model 5th wheel; do you have any issues pulling it with an F150? We have to buy a truck and have looked at the new F150's but worry about the capacities and overloading. TIA

Also, meant to mention Etrailer.com; there was a thread somewhere that said they install if you purchase from them and their Wentzville warehouse does it. Search 'Wentzville' in the search tab at top and it should come up.

Hi Jonesykay,
I have not had any issues pulling my 5er with my F-150. I do have the 5.0 L engine. I really enjoy this truck, It's my daily driver as well.
Hope this helps.
Paul

I bought 3 Dometic Elite toppers online from camping world, with my good sam discount it was pretty close to amazon, Etrailer, and other internet guys, I had a lot of problems with delivery, 2 were damaged and one was the wrong color. Good Sam and camping world were great they were very receptive over the phone and took care of everything, the customer service was well worth the addition money for the toppers. No sure how much after sale support you get with the other guys. The install wasn't bad 2 ladders, 1 helper, and a tube of caulk.

Thanks for the CW info. I priced the Elites there and found a better price from Makarios RV.
Yes, install looks pretty straight forward.

Thanks Again,
Paul

I prefer makarios as everything you need is in one kit. If any confusion just give them a call and they'll get you fixed up. I always call to verify the correct part numbers and such and they are very kind and helpful.

I have thought of this too. This may be a stupid question, but what are the major benefits of adding slide toppers? I would need 4 for our fiver and that's pretty pricey.

Keeps leaves and debris off slide.
When closing slide, debris rolls off topper and onto ground.
You don't have to get up on ladder to clean slide before closing.

Agreed.

I did some searching and they are not quite as expensive as I originally thought. Still pricey, but not what I was thinking.
