Whisper Quiet AC

Hello All,
My wife and I are serious looking at the 30.5mbok as our next purchase. One thing i would like to know is the whisper quiet ac that much more quieter than the average ac units and does it cool as good?

Yes it cools great and is much quieter. No need to keep adjusting the volume on the tv every time it turns on like I had to do with my last FW. You won’t be disappointed.

Much quieter, wish the second ac unit was installed the same way! I run my main unit on high all the time, it's that quiet. Cools the same.

The previous posts are an understatement. It is much much much quieter and is awesome. I won't go back on any future RV we buy The whisper quiet and low profile are an excellent combination.

Absolutely. It's so much quieter that I would not consider any RV that did not have the Whisper Quiet AC.

Having had both, the whisper quiet wins hands down. It cools just as well as the old Coleman I had and I can actually watch TV at a normal volume!! And as Mopar Earl said I really wish they had put the same unit in the bedroom also.

To you Jayco Whisper Quiet AC owners, where are the return air filters located and how do you remove the return air grilles? Thanks

They are near both side walls same area as the A/c. Not sure how the newer units are, but our 2015 has two screws attaching each vent and the filter is behind the vent.

My 2017 Eagle, the filter grills just snap in and out.

Well that's a definite improvement. I actually changed mine to that type, but wasn't sure if JAYCO did or not.

Are the filters behind these grilles?

Yeah I have two air returns in the kitchen/ main room and two in the bedroom. In the ceiling of course. The plastic grills pop out with a pocket knife/ screwdriver/ butter knife. The foam mesh filters are cheap but better than nothing and easy to clean.

I wish the window units like in my 195rb slx had "whisper quiet" technology available. I would even pitch mine out if I could cut down those decibels enough to hear the wife, radio or tv while it is running. (on the other hand, it does work to drown out the late night parties and the early, early risers who have to vroom their engines before leaving).

2019 MBOK owner here, love the whisper quiet. I'm on the fence that it cools as well. This summer it took some time to get below 78 for us, but it was a 98+ day. Looking into getting some kind of shade for the windows, other than that love it.

We’ve only had our 30.5DKTS about three weeks, but love the whisper quiet AC! So much quieter than the one in our previous travel trailer. We also have the 2nd air in our bedroom, but haven’t turned it on yet—its for the summers here in Texas!

We have the 2018 MBOK with whisper quiet and standard unit in bedroom. Much more quiet than our 2013 RLST. It cools well but not as fast as the units that dump air directly from the unit. I do like that both units are ducted together so once it is cool I turn off main unit and run bedroom unit. Then it is really quiet.
