The regs are real specific. Max allowable RV trailer length is 40', combined overall length of tow vehicle/trailer combo cannot exceed 65 ft. No triple towing as previously mentioned, and passengers are allowed to ride in truck bed campers and motorhomes only, not in a trailer.
Like I've said, I have seen triples going down the road, have never seen one stopped by the FHP. May not be a big enforcement issue to them, who knows. Do be aware though, the 'DOT Cops' were merged with the Highway Patrol 2 years ago and most are driving the standard issue black/tan FHP patrol unit colors, not the blue and whites. Safe travels on your trip, see if I can order up some slightly cooler and a helluva lot less humid weather for you.
