Will battery charge when disconnected

I have an 2017 Eagle HT 27.5 RLTS. When plugged in will the battery still charge if the disconnect is engaged?

The word says: "Disconnect" so you got the answer.

Note sure which converter you may have. But if its similar to the one in mine, then the answer to your question is yes. There is a separate wire from the converter to the disconnect and it hooks to the "hot" side of the disconnect and will charge the battery whenever you're on shore power, even if the disconnect is off.

Exchief: please state the model Power Converter you have as I have never heard of this extra wire and worked on many electrical systems of RV's.

What one should do is use a multimeter across the battery terminals. If the battery is somewhat charged it will read 12.6-7VDC

If you connect your trailer to shore power or generator this DC VOLTAGE should jump up to 13.6VDC or higher depending what charge mode your on-board converter-charger is doing at the time.

If your battery is showing a charge mode with the terminals being 13.6VDC or higher then operate your disconnect switch yo OFF. If the battery terminals is still showing the 13.6VDC or higher DC VOLTAGE then the battery is still charging. If it drops back to 12.6-7 VDC it is not charging...

This is what I would do to confirm questions like this... Every thing always seems to work a little different between the various models of RV's...

Two #8 wires between disconnect and converter.

Model PD4500

See DC Disconnect section on page one of the above link

I learned about this because when I bought the 5th wheel new and turned the disconnect off, power was still on to the camper. The factory had the wires reversed on the switch, so power was always on.
